Dr. Grahame Usher

Dr. Usher, or Dr. G as he is commonly known around the practice, hails originally from Newfoundland and Labrador but grew up in Cape Breton. A Mount Alison alumnist (’78), Dr. G completed his Dentistry Degree from Dalhousie University in 1982 and went on to study endodontics at Oregon Health and Science University, completing his Certification in Endodontics in 1987. Only two years later, Dr. Usher opened his own practice in March of 1989.

Since then, and even today, Dr. Usher has played a significant role in the study and practice of Endodontics in Canada and abroad. He sits on a variety of Boards and Committees, and has held several prominent positions included past President of the NSDA (05).

His affiliations include:

  • Royal College of Dentists of Canada
  • Canadian Academy of Endodontics
  • Nova Scotia Dental Association
  • Halifax Dental Society
  • Canadian Dental Association
  • Society of Dental Specialists of Nova Scotia

…to name a few! When he isn’t meeting with any of the groups above, you may find him on the golf course, in the curling rink, or cheering on the Halifax Mooseheads!

In 2012, Dr. G passed on the “ownership torch” to Dr. Belliveau. He has remained very active in the practice and is very much enjoying his new role as an associate. He has helped make the transition seamless and continues to be a mentor to others in the practice.
